Hervé Lupano

Hervé Lupano is a soloist with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and began playing the horn at the age of 9. In 1995, Hervé Lupano was unanimously awarded 1st prize at the CNSMD in Paris. In 1998, he was chosen by Michel Plasson as soloist in the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse. His musical journey has led him to perform with Valery Gergiev, Pierre Boulez, Semyon Bychkov, Yo-Yo Ma, Mstislav Rostropovitch, J.-P. Rampal, Jerzy Semkow… within prestigious groups, such as the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France, the Opéra de Paris, the Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie in Munich, as well as the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields. His taste for teaching was instilled in him by his teachers: André Cazalet, Froydis Ree Wekre, Radovan Vlatkovic, Jean-Michel Vinit, Michel Cantin. He has taken part in numerous recordings devoted to the works of Manuel Rosenthal, Pascal Dusapin, Jules Massenet. He also recorded under the baton of Michel Plasson and Tugan Sokhiev.
