Accommodation and living in Toulouse

The isdaT is located on the banks of the Garonne River, in the historic center of Toulouse, a highly attractive city that is regularly ranked among the best student cities in France. In the 2026 L’Étudiant ranking, Toulouse takes first place for student quality of life, a position it has held for the second consecutive year. With nearly 130,000 French and international students, the Toulouse metropolitan area stands out for its dynamic academic environment and its strong commitment to student life, including transport, housing, sports facilities, and cultural opportunities.

Rich in artistic activity, Toulouse also offers a wide range of cultural venues and events, including concert halls, performances, festivals, exhibitions, and much more. Its quality of life, historical heritage, sunny climate, and strong economic dynamism make it a particularly attractive metropolitan area.

Housing

CROUS Toulouse Occitanie

isdaT does not have student residences or a campus.

International students can apply for accommodation in CROUS residences. However, depending on their administrative situation, they are generally not eligible to apply through the Student Social File (Dossier Social Étudiant – DSE) and therefore cannot take part in the main accommodation allocation phase. They can nevertheless submit an application during the complementary phase via the platform:
https://trouverunlogement.lescrous.fr, subject to availability.

Several university residences and student accommodations in Toulouse are managed by CROUS.
For more information:

As CROUS accommodation is subject to availability, we strongly recommend that international students also explore other housing options in parallel (student residences, private apartments or shared accommodation).
To help you with your search, you can consult:

  • student housing platforms (Studapart, Lokaviz, Le Bon Coin, etc.);
  • Facebook groups dedicated to shared accommodation in Toulouse (for example: “Toulouse Location/Colocations”, “Erasmus Toulouse”, etc.);
  • private student residences.
