Library
The library is an educational space. A space for dialogue between students, teachers and staff who support their research.
The library’s catalogue is connected to the catalogues of all other art libraries in the city (Médiathèque des Abattoirs and material from the museums of Toulouse). A gateway also provides access to the catalogues of the Conservatory, the Museum and public reading libraries. Two complementary databases list graduate theses since 1986 and the collection of the institute’s work (1,538 pieces from 1750 to the present day).
4 computers with high-speed Internet access enable extended research.

Lending terms
The library is freely accessible to anyone conducting research in artistic fields. Lending is reserved for students, teachers and students of the establishment’s public courses after registration. The lending period is a maximum of fifteen days.
Modern collection
The modern collection is made up of around 15,000 printed works: monographs, exhibition catalogues, theoretical works, as well as reference books and encyclopedias, classified by artist and by field. There are 317 periodical titles, as well as 36 subscriptions to French and foreign magazines available at the library entrance. These provide insight into current developments in the world of art, architecture and design. This forms a space for the documentation of current developments within artistic and cultural fields, as well as within schools. Announcements for competitions, prizes, residency programmes, calls for proposals, internships and training courses are also advertised here.
Audiovisual collection
The audiovisual collection contains 1,350 documents, mainly on DVD: fiction, films and videos by artists, documentaries. The presentations and other productions of the isdaT are available both on DVD and from a server.
