Thomas Csaba
An internationally renowned musician and self-taught visual artist, Thomas Csaba has developed an artistic practice closely linked to his experience on stage. A graduate of the CNSMD of Paris at the age of just 21 and
winner of numerous international competitions, including the renowned Guitar Foundation of America and the Tokyo International Guitar Competition, Thomas Csaba now performs in prestigious venues around the world, such as the Conjunto de Artes in Guadalajara, Mexico, and the Hakuju Hall in Tokyo.
An artist with a keen interest in different mediums of artistic creation, Thomas Csaba is involved in collective and multidisciplinary projects, working notably with the VRAC digital arts collective on an interactive concert in Gatineau in 2018, with the Le Balcon orchestra on the creation of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s opera Dienstag aus licht at the Philharmonie de Paris in 2020, and with various artists, dancers and composers for concerts enhanced with live performance, video or electronic media. Thomas Csaba attaches great importance to experimentation, transmission and pedagogy, and currently teaches at the CRR in Toulouse and the isdaT.
