Patrick Prunel

Patrick Prunel is currently Professor of Artistic Education at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Bayonne, member of the Orchestre Symphonique du Pays Basque and the Belharra Trio. Having studied the violin at the CNSMD de Paris, psychoeducation in Quebec, coaching at the International Coaching Centre and psychology at the University of Paris 8, he is a CNFPT speaker and currently a member of the teaching teams at the isdaT and the Pôle d’Enseignement Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Bordeaux Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Over the years, he has developed expertise in educational psychology applied to artistic teaching surrounding the themes of learning, child and adolescent development, the management of emotions and stress and the analysis of practices.

He played first-row for twenty-five years for the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine and taught the violin at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. He has worked as a teacher in several higher education institutions in France: Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg, École Supérieure des Arts de Lorraine in Metz, Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. In 2013, he published Enseigner la musique : Élèves et professeurs épanouis : un défi ? (Publisher: La lettre du musicien).
