Harpsichord

Yasuko Uyama-Bouvard

A graduate of the National University of the Arts in Tokyo, Yasuko Uyama-Bouvard discovered historical instruments and deepened her knowledge of European organ and harpsichord music in France. Winner of two 1st international prizes: harpsichord in 1979 at the Paris Estival Festival competition and organ at the Toledo international competition in 1980. A little later, she would discover the pianoforte with passion, which she would explore in depth with Jos Van Immerseel. Very recently, she created the ensemble Le salon Viennois with a repertoire around the Walter pianoforte. She performs in concert, as a soloist, in chamber music or in continuo with different ensembles such as the Sacqueboutiers, Les Passions or the Elements. She is currently professor of harpsichord, basso continuo and pianoforte at CRR de Toulouse and titular player of the historic organ of the Saint-Pierre des Chartreux church.
